Sample Sign-On Bonus Agreement
Parties:
Employer: ABC Corporation
Address: 123 Business Rd., New York, NY 10001
Employee: John Doe
Address: 456 Elm Street, New York, NY 10002
Bonus Amount & Payment:
The employer agrees to pay the employee a sign-on bonus of $10,000, payable within 30 days of the employee’s start date, subject to applicable tax withholdings.
Conditions of Payment:
The bonus is contingent upon the employee’s successful onboarding and continued employment for at least six months. If employment terminates before this period, the bonus may be subject to repayment or forfeiture as detailed herein.
Repayment Clause:
Should the employee leave the company voluntarily or be terminated for cause within the first year, the employee shall repay a prorated portion of the bonus as determined by the employer.
Governing Law:
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County.
Additional Terms:
- The employee acknowledges understanding of the conditions outlined herein.
